The six-month glass skin countdown

Glass skin is not a product; it is a schedule. Six months out is when facials, actives, and any prescription work should begin, because everything on this list needs a full skin cycle to show results.

Months six to four: book a consultation, start a retinoid or gentle acid if your skin tolerates it, and get on a monthly facial cadence. This is also the window for any laser or peel.

Months three to two: stop introducing new actives. Focus on hydration layering, sunscreen every day, and consistency. This is when most brides see the turn.

One month out: no new treatments, no experimental products, and no extractions closer than two weeks to the date. Reactions surface exactly when you cannot cover them.

Week of: sheet masks, sleep, and water. Skip the salty banquet tasting the night before if you are prone to puffiness.

And do the trial in the same season as the wedding. Skin behaves differently in August humidity than in a February ballroom.
